fully reflect the criteria of national as well as European aviation legislation, which significantly
expands its graduate’s employability on a global scale.
In the basic areas of aviation, University education and scientific research and development are
carried out: air traffic management, aerospace engineering, and aviation security and
management. The faculty is training aviation specialists for the roles of professional pilots, air
traffic controllers, aircraft engineers for the repair of airframes, engines and avionics systems,
and civil and military aviation managers. The aircraft, the rocket and the satellite are used to
teach students basic technical knowledge as objects study. And you really need this technical
foundation, because the material is hard and so you will have work hard to pass the exam.
The focus changes progressively in the course of the program. The Faculty, the only one in the
Slovak academic environment, holds a wide range of certificates from the Transport Authority of
the Slovak Republic (NSAT) and the State Air Force Administration Department of the Ministry
of Defense of the Slovak Republic on the training qualifications of pilots, air traffic controllers
and aviation technicians in accordance with European Union aviation legislation. The Faculty
participates in major European programs in research and cooperates with much aeronautics
–oriented departments in Slovakia as well as with many countries around the world.
